Local Data Storage

All task data, areas, projects, notes, reminders, and user settings are stored 100% locally on your device using the Isar database. This means:

  • No cloud sync or backend servers are used
  • Your data never leaves your device
  • No internet connection is required for the app to function
  • You have complete control over your data
  • You can export your data at any time
  • Deleting the app removes all data from your device

Permissions and Usage

1. Calendar Access (NSCalendarsUsageDescription):

  • Purpose: Display calendar events alongside tasks in the Today and Upcoming views
  • Usage: Read-only access to show events for better task scheduling
  • Data Handling: Events are displayed locally only, never stored or transmitted
  • User Control: Permission is optional - app works fully without calendar access
  • Revocation: You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings

2. Photo Library Access (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription):

  • Purpose: Required by the file picker functionality for importing/exporting task data
  • Usage: Only used when you explicitly choose to import or export JSON files
  • Data Handling: No photos are accessed, stored, or transmitted
  • User Control: Permission is only requested when you initiate file operations
  • Revocation: You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings

3. Notifications:

  • Purpose: Remind users of task due dates and reminders
  • Usage: Local notifications only, scheduled on device
  • Data Handling: No notification data is sent to external servers
  • User Control: You can disable notifications in iOS Settings at any time

Third-Party Services

Agenda To Do does not use any third-party services that collect data:

  • No analytics or tracking services
  • No advertising services
  • No data collection services
  • No cloud storage services
  • No user authentication services

No data is shared with third parties under any circumstances.

Data Export and Backup

You have complete control over your data:

  • You can export your task data as JSON files at any time
  • You can import previously exported data
  • All export/import operations are performed locally on your device

  • You can access all your data within the app
  • You can export your data at any time
  • You can delete individual tasks, areas, or projects
  • You can delete the app and all data is removed from your device
  • You can revoke any permissions in iOS Settings
